Jamie Thompson has been a bassist for over 15 years, writing, composing, and producing his own music while creating videos for platforms like YouTube and Spotify. He takes a DIY approach to his work, dabbling in everything from green screen effects to 3D Blender animations.
Jamie’s background is rooted in punk and rock, but over the years, he’s journeyed deep into many genres. From the Motown grooves of James Jamerson and the jazz brilliance of Dave Brubeck & Nelson Riddle to the cinematic scores of Hans Zimmer, he’s developed a style that’s both versatile and unique. Growing up with PlayStation & Computer Game classics like Crash Team Racing and World of Warcraft, Jamie also fell in love with video game music, which now forms a key part of Jamie’s practice.
