Hang Linton

Splicing dance-punk, avant-funk & breakbeats, Hang Linton is an interdisciplinary artist based in Leeds. After cutting their teeth in Berlin across multiple projects & collectives, Hang has landed on home soil & is ready to make their mark. Hang has been commanding the attention of audiences across the UK at numerous shows & festivals. Equipped with an array of synths, samplers and relentless physicality, Hang bends your ear around the counterculture sounds & movements that have shaped him.

Named one of the NME HOT 100 for 2025 & BBC 6 Music’s “Hot Tip”, Hang Linton has shared stages with Yard Act and Kimya Dawson and recently finished a 11-date UK tour supporting Benefits. They have received support on previous releases from NME, The Guardian, Louder Than War, BBC 6 Music, Radio X, Apple Music and many more.

Hang Linton becomes the latest in a string of artists to release via Yard Act’s Zen F.C. label, following on from the likes of Nuha Ruby Ra, Baba Ali, Benefits, Thank, Acid Klaus and Yard Act themselves.

Speaking on the decision to add Hang Linton to the Zen F.C. roster, Yard Act’s James Smith said, “I met Hang not long after he moved to Leeds, through a mutual friend he knew from Berlin. I caught him playing at the Brudenell on a Sunday afternoon. He was singing a tune denouncing colonialism whilst also operating a sock Puppet. I was instantly smitten. Hang’s music is vibrant, complex and utterly human. He is everything I want from an artist and so it was a no brainer for us to put him out on Zen.”
