Stone Foundation‘s brand new album ‘Street Rituals‘ was released on the 31st of March to huge reception and in it’s first week of release is riding high in the charts.
The album, produced by Paul Weller and released on 100% Records, entered the UK Album Chart at #25, #2 in the Independent Chart (behind Goldfrapp), #5 in the Vinyl Album Chart and #15 in the Physical Sales Chart.
The band’s 4th album, recorded at Black Barn Studio, features writing, production and performance collaborations from Paul Weller on every track. The album also features legendary US soul singer Bettye LaVette and 2017 Grammy award winning soul vocalist William Bell.
Stone Foundation’s Neil Jones commented: “Paul contacted us at the start of 2016 after hearing our last record. He wanted to know if we’d like to get involved with a demo he’d been working on and we obviously grasped the opportunity with both hands. ‘The Limit of a Man’ was born out of those early exchanges and from that point onwards we never looked back”. Neil Sheasby added: “Paul pretty much joined the band for the recording sessions, playing guitar, piano and adding vocals to several songs as well as overseeing the production of the record.”
‘Street Rituals‘ is out now and available to buy as a limited edition clear vinyl in gatefold sleeve and inner bag, cd and download.
