Devilish Presley

Hailing from the dark streets of East London, Devilish Presley has become a significant force on the gothic-punk scene in the UK & Europe during the last seven years. Their live shows are legendary and a work ethic which included self releasing four albums � all of which sold well and gathered excellent reviews � has seen them tour with music legends like The Damned and The Meteors.

Devilish Presley is now back with a new line-up and a completely new set of songs. �The Bloody Hammer� aka Mike Holloway formerly with dark-scene favourites (All Gone Dead) has joined the band full time on drums. The band are staying true to their roots though, �The Bloody Hammer� uses a Roland electronic drum kit.

This Summer the band go into London�s Berry St studio with producer Kevin Poree (Memphisto & Disgraceland) to record their fifth album. Working up a set of fast and furious dark flavoured gothic-punk songs at their Big Bad Wolf rehearsal studio near Northampton, a more personal style of lyrics has now developed, covering sex, drugs, humour, alienation and of course horror.

Devilish Presley was formed as a two-piece by Jacqui Vixen and Johnny Navarro in 2003 and they were soon adopted by the UK goth scene with the albums Rust Garden (2003) and Disgraceland (2004) � but they very quickly widened their appeal. Johnny was chosen as back-up guitar player by Meteors frontman P.Paul Fenech and toured Europe with him in (2008). It was this unique abillity to cross over between genres that informed the critically acclaimed albums Memphisto (2006) and Flesh Ride (2008) and saw them become the support act on nineteen dates with The Damned in 2008.

Devilish Presley will unveil their new line-up at two festival appearances in the July 2010. A headline slot in York at the DV8 festival on Saturday July 17th and a date sharing the stage with Markey Ramone and the UK Subs at the famous Rock and Blues Custom show (now in its 27th year) on Saturday 31st July.

The band are currently without a record deal and will be shopping the new album around interested parties in the autumn.
