Welcome to Wipe Out Music Publishing

Wipe Out Music Ltd is an independent music publishing company.

We started in January 1996 and have gradually expanded the roster, working with many older punk artists who are the subject of reissues as well as new independent up-and-coming artists and anyone we consider interesting.

We are members of the Music Publishers Association, the M.C.P.S. and the Performing Right Society.

We accept unsolicited material, but by CD only and only CDs that are commercially available. No demo CDs please and no MP3s!

Emily Portman wins Radio 2 Folk Awards for Best Original Song for 'Hatchling' taken from the album of the same name. The album was awarded 5th Album Of The Year in the Froots 2012 Critics Poll

We have expanded not once but twice. Steve is now working in the Newcastle office and handling the synchronisation side of the business with an emphasis on film, TV and video games, whilst Daniel has just started and will be working with Steve but concentrating on advertising and special projects.

Latest signings are the enigmatic and highly original singer-songwriter Richard Dawson and Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra who play an eclectic and original musical brew of 1930s swing, gypsy jazz, hokum blues, country and soulful folk songs, all with similar themes of debauchery, dandyism, disasters and drink.

CATH & PHIL TYLER

New album 'The Song-Crowned King' out in April. Phil has a solo banjo album 'We Sunk The Ship To Get Rid Of The Rats' out in the summer.

'Lady Margaret' used in the Australian film 'In Transit'.

CONTROL

Toured with in November with Rancid and touring the USA with them later this year.

Demoing new material.

'Stand Up & Fight' included in the film Green Street 2.

DEADLINE

Track 'Out Of Luck' included in the German film 'First Try'.

Greatest Hits album out this year.

EMILY PORTMAN

Alt-folk with a difference.

With her debut album 'The Glamoury' Emily was a Radio 2 Folk Awards nominee in two categories, Radio 3/Froots 7th 'album of the year', Mojo Top 10 Folk Albums 2010 award and winner of the Spiral Earth Trad Song of the Year.

Her second album 'The Hatchling' has continued where the first left off with great reviews: 8/10 Uncut, 4/5 Financial Times, R2 and Songlines.

Up for asecond Radio 2 Folk Award for best song for 'Hatchling'.

Music used as a trailer for the Movies 4 Men TV channel and in Grimm Tales.

EPILEPTICS

'Get Nicked Get Fined Sixty Quid' being used as bedding music in MTV's wrestling show.

Reissue album of singles & demos 'Smash Guitar Solos' out soon.

PARANOID VISIONS

Paranoid Visions become the first Irish punk band since the late 70s to have a Top 10 single in the national Irish charts as 'Der-Election' enters the charts at No. 6.

New album 'Welcome To The Austerity Complex' out now. Music from this album appears in the film Yell(ow).

SONIC BOOM SIX

A Punk-Rock, Hip-Hop, Jump-Up Ska Soundclash from Manchester.

'For The Kids Of The Multiculture' appears in The Sims 3 Showtime video game.

Signed to Xtra Mile single Keep On Believing released in February.

STONE FOUNDATION

Last Autumn completed a massively successful tour supporting The Specials.

Their music has recently been used in the TV shows: The Finder, Franklin & Bash and Wilfried.
